Chef Shari’s inspiration draws heavily from instinct and seasonality, depending on what is in bloom and what flavors and textures appeal to her. A Chesapeake Bay, MD native, one of Shari's favorite childhood places was her mom’s garden, picking fresh herbs, strawberries, or tomatoes, straight off the vine. Her style and approach to food today pay tribute to those early memories. She learned her love of cooking and gardening from her mother.
Chef Shari was an Army wife for over 25 years and during those years, the happiest times she had was in the kitchen cooking with friends and family. Throughout those years, she has traveled extensively, cooking for all cultures and anywhere from her family of four to a company of soldiers. Now that her husband has retired and her children have “flown the coup” she spends all her energy on food, gardening and wine. Chef Shari is a graduate of the USPCA Culinary Business Academy and has been a Personal Chef in the Riverview area for over a year. Her motto is “Elegantly Easy”
