A lifelong believer in the sensual powers of food and wine, Chef Debbie Frangipane enjoys nothing more than sharing her passion with others. As Executive Chef and Culinary Director for Savory Adventures, Debbie and her husband Barry frequently host luxury getaways to Italy’s most exclusive destinations. Her personal repertoire of culinary delights is itself a tour of Italy’s many distinct regions.
Growing up in Houston, Debbie established herself early on as the family cook. Always possessed by a certain creative flair, she is also a classically trained pianist. Her affection for Italian cuisine blossomed around another love affair with husband Barry. His mother, Maria Louisa, was born in Treviso, and passed on centuries of food traditions and family recipes to her new daughter-in-law.
In the following years, living in Venice and during extensive travel throughout the countryside, Debbie perfected her taste and technique for authentic Italian cooking. She incorporates into these traditions her ever evolving personal style to offer a unique blend of Old World decadence and modern practicality.
Based in the Tampa Bay area, Debbie’s personal interests include competing in local running events, including the 2007 and 2008 Disney marathon. In addition to her work with Savory Adventures, she also participates in local food events and hosts cooking classes.
In 2009, Dolce Debbie decided to continue her cooking education and return to school. She went to the Culinary Institute of America in New York and has already received one certificate and is now working on her second certificate.
