Chef Devin Davis

Devin grew up in Plant City, FL, where his passion for cooking began before he was able to even reach the countertops in his mother’s kitchen. Always wanting to help his Mom and Grandmothers in the kitchen, he learned from them and the passion grew stronger. Since he was always looking for opportunities to learn more about cooking he started going to classes at the Rolling Pin, then started assisting Executive Chef Dave West and with cooking events in the Rolling Pin’s culinary center.

Having the desire to do more, he searched the web looking for cooking competitions, and at age 13 he entered his first. It was for The National Mango Board and the three finalists were flown out to Hollywood, California, where they competed at Le Cordon Bleu. Devin took the grand prize in this, his very 1st competition. From there he went on to compete in dozens of local and national cooking competitions, from steak cook-offs to barbecue and chili. Some of his biggest wins include Chopped on Food Network, The Best Teen Chef at the Art Institute, a gold medal from the American Culinary Federation, and several wins at the Crisco National Pie Championships. He loves giving back, so he cooks for the widows and widowers of his church monthly.

Currently Devin is a student at the Art Institute in Tampa and a member of the American Culinary Federation. His future goals are to open his own restaurant once he graduates, and to have a cooking show on TV.
