Fatima Soriano, founder and owner of Tapas & Fun, grew up in Spain’s Canary Islands, the youngest in a family of twelve children. She attributes her love of cooking to her mother and grandmother, both excellent cooks, and her fondest memories are of family occasions where everyone gathered around the table in celebration.

Since relocating to Sarasota with her American entrepreneur husband and two sons, Fatima has seen the high level of interest in Spanish food and culture and started offering Spanish cooking classes, cooking parties and Paella catering, so that others can enjoy eating and creating the dishes of Spain, both traditional and modern.

Fatima has participated in numerous events and cooking demonstrations where she has shared her love of Spanish cuisine, and is a contributor to the Spanish language television show “En Casa con Martin Ycaza” of Telemundo.
